Many people tend to be very confused about SEO. When it comes to your website and how successful it is, a number of people will try to tell you that SEO is the key to success. But if this is the truth then you would have to wonder why there aren’t more online businesses that are successful? Just relying on SEO is not enough for success. Everyone these days is using the same SEO techniques as you so all you could hope to achieve here is to be on a par with everyone else. But if you want to be successful then you are going to have to do more than have an average website.

If the niche that you are targeting is quite popular then your SEO efforts are not going to have as much impact. You will be competing with businesses that spend a fortune on SEO so your efforts might not even make a dent. Of course, if you didn’t think about SEO at all you would probably be reducing your chances of success significantly.

You really have no way to guarantee success for a website. There are plenty of fantastic websites out there that just never mange to become popular. There can also be average websites that end up doing really well. There is definitely a lot of luck involved, but the harder you work at your website the more chances you have of being lucky.

Don’t have unrealistic expectations from an SEO company. A lot of us will invest money in professional SEO with the expectation that it will take our website to the next level. However this is not always the way it works.
