24 Hours of Installing Joomla!

Wow, what an incredible launch for the demo site. Yesterday, really the first 24 hours of operations there were 1290 demo sites launched. That's over 53 per hour ... or a new site every 1.1 minutes.

The busiest single hour so far: 83 sites 11.05.2010, 11:00-12:00 UTC

I have no idea if that's a record, but it is pretty amazing sounding to me.

We've been watching the support tickets and the forums here, and it's really going smoothly. There were definitely some moments where things slowed down, and network adjustments continue to be made to optimize for real world flows.
